Your NHS story on video?

Take part in the NHS North West Disability History Timeline video

NHS North West (in partnership with Breakthrough UK) is developing a Disability History Timeline. This will set out the work of the disabled rights movement, the contribution of disabled people to health and health care, both before and since the NHS was set up.

They will officially launch the Timeline on 3/12/12 - The International Day of People with Disabilities.

They also plan to make a DVD which will have a series of filmed interviews. In the interviews disabled people can give their personal stories and experiences with the NHS and health care – both good and bad.

  • Do you think you have an interesting story or do you have an experience with the NHS you would like to share?
  • Have you been involved in the development of the Timeline so far and would you like to tell why you have taken part and share your ideas about the project?
  • Would you like to be in this film?

Then please get in touch by 2/12/12

  • Breakthrough UKhave booked rooms in their accessible offices in Ardwick, Manchester on 15/11/12. The rooms are available all day so that they can offer a range of times to suit people’s convenience.
  • A team of Breakthrough-trained community reporters will manage the whole filming and editorial process, with some technical support and equipment provided by an external company.
  • Reasonable travel expenses will be payable
