Learning Disability in St Helens & Halton

Learning Disability services in St Helens and Halton - consultation events (at short notice) about some changes

There are changes planned for some health care services for people with learning disability in St Helens and Halton. The changes are in the services for people with Learning Disabilities who are experiencing acute mental health issues - there is no change planned where people with Learning Disabilities have other health issues such as accidents.

The plan is to provide these services in Warrington in the future, helped by increased community support so that more people can stay in their own homes in those circumstances.

People who are registered with their GPs as having a Learning Disability should have received information directly, in the form of an EasyRead consultation document .

Two additional consultation events have recently been announced:

  • Tuesday September 27th, 3:00pm -4:30pm St Helens CVS, Tontine House, Church Street, St Helens WA10 1BD
  • Wednesday September 28th 3:00pm -4:30pm at Ditton Community Centre, Widnes WA8 8DF

If you want to go to one of these meetings they ask you to email them, or contact by phone the Patient Experience Team at (0151) 495-5187.

If you need futher information about the changes, there are contact details in the consultation document.
