Trusts "struggle" to give money to local groups

Some Trusts with funds for Merseyside groups see fewer applications

Local solicitors Brown Turner Ross report that some Charitable Trusts that they administer have had difficulty in the last few years in giving out grants for the amount that they are able to, because fewer applications have been made to them.

The Trusts include The Sidney Littler Charitable Trust (projects with a medical focus) and the Elsie Tolbert Bridge Charitable Trust (for a range of charitable activities in Southport). A total of £25,000 a year for distribution is involved.
