Mentoring in Merseyside (and MDFs AGM)

Mentoring in Merseyside with MDF

On Thursday March 3rd (at the Kuumbai Imani Millennium Centre, Liverpool), MDF will be holding training and information event on Mentoring (in conjunction with our Annual General Meeting).

"Mentors", "peer advocates", "life coaches" - whatever they are called  many groups find that making a direct “one-to-one” connection is a very valuable way to support disabled people and to help break down barriers.

Mentors bring their own knowledge, their personal experience and enthusiasm, and they can encourage, support and inform in a very direct and highly effective way – one that can often bring benefits to the mentor as well.

Our event brings together local voluntary groups who have used mentoring to work with their members and with other disabled people. They will share their experience and their plans with you, and tell you about their successes. You can also hear other information from wider perspectives on how mentoring can help your group.

The meeting is preceded by a free buffet lunch and by MDF’s brief AGM.
This event is free – but you must book in advance. Use the booking form here or contact us:
