Interchange is a charity based in the University of Liverpool. It links Higher Education with local voluntary groups to do research and other work-based learning projects. Students in their final year work with groups from October to the following May.

Interchange now has vacancies for two Trustees. 

"You will be joining a small, friendly group who are committed to supporting local VCOs access the benefits of social research and to encouraging students to gain skills and experience through working with such groups. The position is unpaid although reasonable travel expenses may be reimbursed. Committee meetings are currently held during the evening in central Liverpool and time commitment will be approximately 2-3 hours per month.

"Some of the benefits of Interchange's work:

• Students commit one day a week to the organisation
• Well planned projects
• Partnership working involving the group, Interchange and the student
• Organisations get a full report on the project -  or a work activity (such as an organised event or handbook)
• There is no charge for this service
• Groups can use the document for funding applications and business planning"
